Overview
The CompTIA Server+ exam will certify the successful candidate has the knowledge and skills
required to install, configure, and manage server hardware and operating systems by
implementing proper security controls, successfully troubleshooting common server problems,
and demonstrating an understanding of key disaster recovery concepts.

Prerequisite
Server Hardware: Knowledge of physical components, rack-mounting, power supplies,
cooling, storage devices, and RAID configurations.
Networking Basics: Understanding TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, subnetting, and VLAN setups
Operating Systems: Familiarity with installing, configuring, and managing enterprise
systems like Windows Server and Linux.
Virtualization & Cloud: Basic concepts of virtual machines, hypervisors, and hybrid cloud
models.
Security & Recovery: Core ideas around server hardening, multi-factor authentication
(MFA), user permissions, and backup/disaster recovery processes.
